Privacy Policy
Venari is a GPS app for hunters that records hunting routes, marks on the map, and lets you share your location within hunting parties. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are.
Who processes the data
The data controller is Venari, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. For privacy questions, contact: podrska@venariapp.com.
What data we collect
- Account data: email address, name, sign-in method (Google, Apple, Facebook or email) and a profile photo if you add one.
- Location: GPS coordinates during an active hunt (routes and marks). You start and stop recording yourself. Location is also used in the background while a hunt is active, so the route is complete.
- Hunt data: routes, marks, notes, game type and photos you add.
- Parties: membership, display name and invite codes. A member's current location in a party is only streamed live and is not stored.
- Technical data: device language and a push notification token.
Why we process the data
- To provide the app's core features (recording routes, marks, parties).
- To sync your data across devices and keep a backup.
- To send notifications related to parties and hunts.
The app works locally on your device; the internet is only needed for syncing, parties and maps.
Who we share data with
- Supabase (database hosting, photo storage, authentication). Data is stored on Supabase Cloud infrastructure.
- Google, Apple or Facebook: only if you sign in through them.
- Expo push service: to send push notifications.
- Esri: requests for satellite maps go to Esri servers when a map is shown.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all related data in the app (Profile → Delete account), which triggers cascading deletion on the server in line with the GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above or use the delete-account option.
Security
Access to data is protected by row-level security (RLS) policies, tokens are stored encrypted on the device, and all communication goes over HTTPS.
Children
The app is not intended for people under 18 years of age.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date of the last change is shown at the top.
